I watched this movie the other night and was moved. It's not an earth-shattering film, but it has its moments of intensity, which are totally worth it. To me, it felt like an honest look, without a lot of Hollywood shuffle, at love and the human condition. Plus, it's set in Portland so it made me think of D and how fortunate she is to be in such a progressive and beautiful place!
There's a great quote that stems throughout the movie that I wanted to share:
"There is a story about the Greek Gods; they were bored so they invented human beings, but they were still bored so they invented love, then they weren't bored any longer. So they decided to try love for themselves. And finally, they invented laughter, so they could stand it."
